Texas Whole Life Counseling is a virtual therapy practice serving the entire state. We’re not tied to one office or one city; wherever you live, from Houston to a small town in the Panhandle, the same licensed panel of therapists is available to you over secure video.
Our mission is to make real, judgment-free mental health care easier to reach, no matter where in Texas you happen to be. That means no waiting weeks for an in-person opening near you, no drive across town for a fifty-minute conversation, and no pressure to have everything figured out before you ask for help. You bring what’s going on, and we bring a therapist equipped to actually work with it.
Who We Are
Behind that mission is a panel of more than ten credentialed online therapists, each fully licensed to practice in Texas. Between them, they work with a wide range of concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, relationship and family issues, grief, and more, so you’re not funneled toward whatever one specialty a smaller practice happens to offer.
We provide therapy, and only therapy. We don’t offer medication management or psychiatric evaluation. If medication becomes a relevant conversation for you at some point, your therapist can help you think through finding a prescriber separately, rather than trying to fill that role here.
You can look through the full range of conditions we treat online, or the different treatment approaches our therapists use, before you ever reach out, no need to guess going in.
Why Virtual Care Works
There’s no commute, no waiting room, and no need to take half a day off work for a single appointment. You can join from wherever you already feel comfortable being open: your car during a lunch break, your bedroom after the kids are asleep, or wherever works for you.
Virtual care also gives you more flexibility around scheduling. Many new clients can get on the calendar within a few days, with evening and weekend appointments available when therapists’ schedules allow. You can get support without being limited to the appointment times available at a single office.

Who We Serve
Every client’s situation is different, and our therapists work with people across different stages of life. For teens going through a difficult period, we involve parents in ways that support the teen’s care. Couples can join sessions together even when they’re in different locations, making therapy easier to fit into their week. We also support men who may find it difficult to ask for help and older adults adjusting to major life changes or trying therapy for the first time.
First responders can face unique pressures and schedules that don’t always fit traditional weekday appointments. Virtual sessions give them more flexibility when finding time for therapy. We also provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care, with therapist matching that takes each client’s needs and preferences into account from the start.
Our Approach & Values
Our therapists use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, and psychodynamic therapy. The right approach depends on what you’re dealing with, what you want from therapy, and what feels like a good fit. There’s no set timeline for how long therapy should take. Some people see changes sooner, while others need more time and support.
Sessions are client-centered and non-judgmental. Your therapist will take time to understand what’s going on, what you’d like to work on, and what kind of support feels right for you. Early sessions aren’t about rushing into a treatment plan. They’re a chance for both of you to understand what you need and where to start.
If you’ve never tried therapy by video, you may wonder what a virtual session is really like. It’s a straightforward process, from booking your appointment to joining your first session, and your therapist will help you settle in and get comfortable with the format.
Insurance and Private Pay
Cost shouldn’t be the reason this stays on your to-do list either. We accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Cigna, Medicare, UnitedHealthcare, UMR, and Optum, along with private pay for anyone whose plan isn’t listed here.
Meet the Team
Every online therapist on our panel brings their own background, specialties, and way of working, which is worth exploring on its own rather than reducing to a single bio blurb. Browse full profiles for credentials, approaches, and who each therapist tends to work well with, or skip the browsing entirely, tell us what you’re looking for, and let our team match you instead.
Get Started
If you already know who you’d like to work with, go ahead and book a session directly. If you’d rather have help finding the right fit, or just want to check what your insurance covers first, we can walk you through that too. Either way, you’re only a few steps away from your first session.
